How can I take revenge academically?

I've always been looked up to because I was smart. But ever since middle school, I've been beaten by other kids from my elementary school. The thing is it's not fair because I was always and still is the one that busted my *** off studying while they would always play video games. But my friends and parents say that that might change in high school because in High school you have to study a lot and do lots of college prep. How can i prove to them low lifes that always make fun of me that I am still smarter than them?
