I don't remember how long it took mine to dissolve, but it seemed like forever. I found the whole thing a bit mystifying LOL because I was trying to see parts I didn't even know I had LMAO (sorry, TMI!). It will hurt a bit at first to have , which is totally normal. Use some lubrication and keep trying, gently, and it will eventually go away. You could use some numbing cream (can't think of the name of it, it smelled like cherries and I think is for dental work, actually!) or some Tucks pads might help to relieve any irritation while having bowel movements.
