How should i choose a budgie?

I wouldn't buy from a pet store. Their birds are more likely to be ill (some illness' that you can catch!); try finding a breeder that hand feeds (not hand raises) budgies. If you have a difficult time finding a breeder, call an AVIAN vets office and ask them about budgie breeders. Also, try to get a male.
