Is it normal to start losing your mucus p[lug following a doctors visit and having ur cervix checked for the 1?

i had my cervix dilation checked yesterday and since then I have been losing alot of my mucus plug...is this normal? is it b/c of the doc checking the cervix? maybe the "stimulation" of my cervix caused it to do so..idk what do you think??
