Is there any way to have the collision deductible waived if the other person has the same insurance?

Well, I was in an accident yesterday. It was 8am and the sun and frost on my windshield blinded me, as I was worried that I was going to get rear ended so I sped up and crunch right into a car I never saw there. Well her car, which ate mine only got a crack in the bumper, and mine got the front bumper and hood smashed and the airbag deployed. Well, my collision deductible is 1000 and I am preparing to do that, but I was told by my Allstate agent that because the person I hit also has allstate that my deductible could be waived. Does anyone else out there have any more info on the likelihood of this actually happening? I live in NY if that helps.
