Correct, but I'm not convinced it means what you want it to. The "don't forget" part suggests to me that that this is a recommendation you're making now (or in general) not at a particular time in the past (like to people you were travelling with). And is the small opening for landscape? It sounds like it's something else you'd be carrying along.
