Wheres do i find a great yellow cake recipe?

I refuse to use any cake mixes, and would like to incorporate instant pudding into it as well. I've experimentedd with some, but none have quite hit the spot. I have gone on my favorite website, allrecipes.com, and have had some good ones, but for some reason yellow and white cakes seem to be nearly impossible to beat the stupid box mixes! Help! Its for a birthday party!
